The Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi has summoned a Pakistani High Commission official over the recent Nagroata incident in Jammu and Kashmir, where terrorists killed in an encounter were linked to Pakistan.

Evidence retrieved from the items found with the slain terrorists in Nagrota has uncovered a connection to Pakistan. It is reported that these terrorists were in constant communication with their handlers based in Pakistan.

A Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) manufactured by a Pakistani company was recovered from the terrorists killed in the encounter. Messages from the recovered mobile reveal discussions about their whereabouts, the surroundings, and whether they faced any difficulties. Investigative agencies suspect that these messages were sent from Shakargarh, Pakistan.

Intelligence sources claim that the Digital Mobile Radio is from Micro Electronics, a Pakistani firm. Uncovering messages on the DMR indicated that the infiltrating terrorists were in contact with their handlers across the border. Moreover, the footwear worn by the terrorists further substantiates the Pakistani connection, as the shoes were manufactured in Karachi. A wireless set and a GPS device were also seized.
