Amid the ongoing tensions in Indo-Pak relations following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, India has commenced Operation Sindoor. Through this operation, the Indian Air Force has carried out targeted strikes on nine terrorist hubs in Pakistan and PoK. Let's explore how the Pakistani media is reacting to this development.
The Director General of Pakistan's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary, accused India of executing a cowardly assault on Kotli, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad.
Speaking with
ARY News

Pakistani news outlet Geo News described Operation Sindoor as an aggressive and provocative initiative by India. The channel claimed that India launched missile attacks on three locations, for which Pakistan will provide an apt response. Pakistani media views these strikes by India as an assault on Pakistan's sovereignty.
According to sources reported by Pakistan's state broadcaster
PTV NEWS
, Pakistan has already initiated military action in response. The cowardly attack resulted in the tragic death of an innocent child, while a woman and a man sustained serious injuries. The night-time strike by India targeted innocent Pakistani civilians.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif shared with ARY News that attacks were conducted on residential areas. He stated India attacked from its airspace. He remarked that they should come out and face the consequences, and Pakistan will respond appropriately.
Daily Pakistan reported that India initiated Operation Sindoor in retaliation, and ISPR's Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary confirmed this development.
Some channels minimized India's attacks, indicating their limited impact but also reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to a strong response.
It should be noted that the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 resulted in the deaths of 26 people and injured 17 others. The attack in Pahalgam's Basran Valley targeted individuals deliberately.
Following the Pahalgam attack, India's Security Affairs Cabinet Committee (CCS), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suspended the Indus Waters Treaty with immediate effect. This marks the first instance of such a stern action by India, despite three major conflicts between India and Pakistan wherein the treaty had not been suspended.
The Ministry of External Affairs released a statement detailing the Cabinet Committee's decisions, declaring the suspension of the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, which will remain until Pakistan ceases its support for cross-border terrorism.
Subsequent to this development, the Indian government banned several YouTube channels linked to Pakistan within India. Additionally, they also closed Indian airspace to Pakistani aircraft until May 23.
