Defense Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized that Operation Sindhur, the 2016 surgical strike, and the 2019 Balakot airstrike are testaments to India's resilience, not its weakness. He noted that when dialogue fails to provide solutions, India resorts to decisive action. This was expressed during the Hyderabad Liberation Day ceremony in Telangana.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, a strong and steadfast new India communicates with those who understand the language of peace and goodwill, yet knows how to give a fitting response to those who do not.

The Defense Minister recounted the events at Pahalgam where terrorists murdered innocent citizens on the basis of religion. However, during Operation Sindhur, Indian Armed Forces neutralized terrorists in Pakistan and PoK, obliterating their bases. This operation commenced in response to the April 2025 Pahalgam attack and concluded in May. India dismantled nine major Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) sites with missile strikes, eliminating over 100 terrorists.

Rajnath Singh lauded the valor and dedication of the military. Although the operation is currently suspended, he assured that any future terrorist activities across the border would be met with renewed intensity. During Operation Sindhur, India rejected third-party intervention unequivocally. Foreign interference in India's internal matters is not tolerated. Pakistan acknowledged India's rejection of mediation from countries like the USA.

Rajnath Singh reminisced about the 2016 surgical strike, where Indian military forces effectively dismantled terrorist launch pads in PoK after the Uri attack. Following the 2019 Pulwama attack, Balakot was similarly targeted with airstrikes against Jaish bases. These actions underscore India's zero tolerance toward terrorism, demonstrating the strength derived from its unity and cultural diversity.

Rajnath Singh honored Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as the 'Iron Man' who unified North and South India. He highlighted the special coincidence of Hyderabad Liberation Day (September 17) coinciding with PM Modi's birthday. Just as Sardar Patel unified India, PM Modi is fortifying the nation culturally, socially, spiritually, and economically. Rajnath attributes the transformation of India to PM Modi, predicting India will soon become the world's third-largest economy, crafting its own narrative.

He commemorated the 1948 Operation Polo, a defining move by Sardar Patel, which dismantled conspiracies led by the Razakars, integrating Hyderabad into India. This stands not only as a military victory but a glorious chapter in preserving India's unity. The conspiracies of 1948 failed, and today, Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and its agents have been thwarted.
