After the victory over Pakistan, India's Head Coach Gautam Gambhir showered praise on his players. However, he emphasized that there is no need to compare the Indian team with other tournament teams. Following this, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindhur in May to decisively eliminate the threat. Gambhir expressed condolences to the families affected by the Pahalgam attack and saluted the Indian Army.

Gautam Gambhir believes that the right team combination led to this victory. According to Gambhir, the bowlers applied pressure on Pakistan from the outset, and the batsmen followed through with ease. Gambhir stated, "You cannot expect a better performance. Restricting the opposing team to 127 runs is no easy task. The trio of spinners and Bumrah set the tone with their bowling, ensuring the batsmen faced little pressure. Our start was excellent, and the team continues to work in the right direction."
