Across the country, COVID-19 cases have surged in the past 24 hours. Nationwide cases have risen from 4,302 to 4,866. During this period, seven individuals succumbed to this deadly virus.
In the nation’s capital, Delhi, 105 new cases were recorded over the past day, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 562, with two fatalities. Among the deceased are a five-month-old infant and an 87-year-old individual.
Meanwhile, Karnataka reported two deaths, and Maharashtra recorded three additional fatalities. Looking at other states, active cases have increased in Gujarat, reaching 508, Karnataka 436, Kerala 1,487, Maharashtra 526, and West Bengal 538.

How Many Cases in Each State?
Currently, Kerala remains the most affected state with 1,487 active cases. Following Kerala, Delhi has reported 562 active cases, and Maharashtra has 526.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court recently pointed out that the 'next COVID pandemic' isn’t over yet, seeking comprehensive information on sample collection, centers, and the Centre’s transport policy preparations.
Justice Girish Kathpalia stated that it is reassuring that necessary steps and protocols will be implemented, but competent authorities should ensure they are on record.
