As India celebrates its 77th Republic Day, countries around the world have extended their congratulations. Along with the United States, China's President Xi Jinping also congratulated India, describing the two nations as good neighbors, friends, and partners. In his message to President Droupadi Murmu, Xi emphasized the improving relations between India and China.
Xi Jinping highlighted that these relations align with the fundamental interests of both peoples and are instrumental in maintaining global peace and prosperity. According to the state-run Xinhua News Agency, Xi stressed that being good neighbors and partners, supporting each other's success, is the right path for the Dragon and Elephant.
Xi expressed hope that both nations will remain committed to this significant agreement, recognizing China and India as partners in cooperation and development. He anticipated that they would encourage the healthy and stable development of their mutual relations, strengthen strategic dialogue, expand exchanges and cooperation, and address each other’s concerns. Prime Minister of China, Li Keqiang, also sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Trump Sends His Congratulations
U.S. President Donald Trump also sent a congratulatory message on Republic Day. The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi shared Trump's greeting, where he expressed, on behalf of the American people, his congratulations to the Government and people of India. He remarked on the historic ties between the United States and India as the world’s oldest and largest democracies.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio sent his greetings on Republic Day, praising close partnerships in defense, energy, critical minerals, and emerging technologies. He highlighted the multi-layered cooperation through the Quad as yielding tangible results for both countries and the Indo-Pacific region. Rubio expressed eagerness to work together to advance shared objectives.

India's Republic Day celebration showcased the cultural vibrancy of the nation. Amidst the festivities, Prime Minister Modi's signature turban, symbols of Rajasthani tradition, and multi-colored displays left a lasting impression.

After attending the Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, he expressed honor at being part of such a significant event.
