India's most wanted terrorist, Abu Qatal, was gunned down in a rapid-fire incident in Pakistan on Saturday night. The attack resulted in the death of Qatal and one of his bodyguards, with another security personnel critically injured.
This incident occurred near the Dina Punjab University in Jhelum. As Qatal's convoy was passing the Zeenat Hotel, unidentified attackers unleashed a rapid hail of bullets.
According to sources, Abu Qatal was traveling with his security personnel in the Jhelum region on Saturday night. During this, heavily armed personnel from the Lashkar terrorists and Pakistani army in plain clothes surrounded him for security. However, they were ambushed by waiting unidentified attackers.
Today, we have access to an exclusive dossier of Zia-ur-Rehman, also known as Abu Qatal. This dossier reveals that Abu Qatal's real name was Zia-ur-Rehman alias Nadeem alias Abu Qatal alias Qatal Sindhi and alias Abdul Wahid. He was one of NIA's most wanted terrorists, involved in several attacks in Kashmir. He was a close associate of Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Abu Qatal was a key handler for Lashkar-e-Taiba, conspiring to orchestrate attacks in the Poonch-Rajouri region. His close associates, Riaz Ahmed and Hanzala Adnan, died in separate incidents in Pakistan in 2023. Abu Qatal first infiltrated Jammu in 2000 and was heavily involved in recruitment for the organization.

Abu Qatal's name appeared in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) chargesheet for involvement in the 2023 Rajouri attack. On January 1, 2023, a terrorist attack targeted civilians in the Dangri village of Rajouri, followed by an IED explosion the next day, resulting in seven fatalities and several serious injuries.
The NIA's chargesheet named three handlers from the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, identified as Saifullah alias Sajid Jatt alias Ali alias Habibullah alias Numan alias Langda alias Naumi, Mohammad Qasim, and Abu Qatal alias Qatal Sindhi.
The investigation revealed that logistical support was provided to terrorists under Abu Qatal's orders. After the Reasi attack, terrorists received food, shelter, and other logistical support in Dangri for nearly three months.
On June 9, pilgrims returning from Shiv-Khodi temple in Reasi, Jammu & Kashmir, were attacked by terrorists. Abu Qatal Sindhi was the mastermind behind this and several major attacks in the Kashmir region. NIA held Abu Qatal responsible for orchestrating the 2023 Rajouri attack.
According to NIA's investigation, these three planned Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists' recruitment to conspire and target security personnel in Jammu & Kashmir.
