In the wake of the Pahalgam attack, while fear has gripped Pakistan, India has ramped up its military preparedness. As part of this initiative, the Indian Air Force put on a show of strength on the Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

With a spectacular demonstration of aerial prowess, fighter jets like Rafale, Sukhoi, Mirage, Jaguar, and AN-32 showcased their power through 'Touch and Go'. The exercise commenced with a majestic touchdown by the C-130J Super Hercules.

A Night Show Awaits

Next, the skies were set ablaze by the dazzling maneuvers of Jaguars, MiGs, and Rafales. Despite the swift winds hindering the AN-32's advance after landing, the pilot expertly maneuvered with skill, ensuring the drill's success. Following this two-hour exercise, a breathtaking night landing show is scheduled from 7 to 10 PM, with spectacular fighter jet landings between 9 and 10 PM on the Ganga Expressway airstrip.

Akhilesh Yadav Tweets

Amidst the spectacle, Akhilesh Yadav, the President of the Samajwadi Party, shared a tweet. Sharing a video, he wrote, 'The discussion is about the initiative we began again.' This is a nod to the Lucknow-Agra Expressway constructed during his term as Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister.

On November 21, 2016, this expressway hosted its inaugural airshow with the Indian Air Force, where fighter jets like Sukhoi, Mirage, and Jaguar displayed their prowess with landings and 'Touch and Go'. It marked the first expressway in the nation officially facilitating IAF fighter jet landings.
