In West Bengal's Howrah, a train accident occurred early Saturday morning at around 5:30 AM when the Shalimar-Secunderabad weekly special train derailed at Nalpur. Three coaches left the tracks. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
Several passengers sustained minor injuries. Railway officials are arriving at the scene to evacuate passengers from the derailed coaches. According to the railway, there have been no major damages. Only a few passengers suffered minor injuries, and no fatalities have been reported thus far.
The CPRO of South Eastern Railway stated, 'A total of three coaches from the 22850 Secunderabad-Shalimar Superfast Express, including a parcel van and two passenger coaches, derailed.' The railway further informed that accident relief and medical aid trains from Santragachi and Kharagpur are already on-site.
