The dynamic 49-year-old Avadh Ojha is racing into the Delhi Legislative Assembly 2025 contest as the AAP candidate for the Patparganj (East) seat. With BJP’s Ravindra Singh Negi as his opponent, Ojha’s signature style of wearing a scarf around his neck and narrating historical tales to explain politics has made waves on social media. His journey of 22 years in the teaching field marks the start of his political experiment. On social media, Ojha is trending significantly just before the decisive Delhi election results, with his recent tweet being interpreted as a concession of defeat.
On February 6th, Avadh Ojha posted on X (formerly Twitter), 'My sole purpose was, is, and always will be to educate every child in need. A heartfelt thanks to all my colleagues and the people of Patparganj. I will stand by you through every joy and sorrow.'
This tweet by Avadh Ojha elicited varied reactions. While some users are wishing for his success, others recommend he should return to the tutoring realm. A user expressed, 'And with that, accepting the forfeiture. @AAPKAAVADHOJHA released a video, leaving politics to return to the tutorial world... because politics can go haywire, but business should persist.'
Another user commented, 'You’re telling blatant lies. There was no need to enter politics if you genuinely wanted to educate every needy child. Education can be imparted through coaching centers, tuitions, or schools.'
Meanwhile, another user supported Ojha, 'You cannot accept defeat this way; you’re a fighter who teaches others to fight back. You made the mistake of choosing the wrong party. Your career will end even before it begins. But no worries, you have a livelihood. What about those who are losing and do nothing? Besides, you've earned enough over these 10 years for one or two generations to live comfortably.'
