In a daring evening raid, Delhi's Rajouri Garden Burger King became the scene of an intense shootout, leading to the death of three notorious gang members at the hands of Delhi Police. In a separate encounter in Sonipat, Haryana, a staggering 43 rounds were exchanged between the police and gangsters.
The shootout claimed the lives of gangsters Ashish aka Lalu, Sunny Kharar, and Vicky Ridhana, with a Delhi Police Sub-Inspector sustaining injuries in the crossfire. In response to the threat, the police fired back, discharging 19 rounds to the gangsters' 24.
Special Police Commissioner Shalini Singh outlined how intelligence led to the discovery of the trio on a Rohtak-Chinouli road. In an attempt to flee, the gangsters veered off into a farm field, where their vehicle got stuck, resulting in the fatal standoff.
The three assailants opened fire from inside their car, with bullets striking SI Amit's foot and the bulletproof vests of Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Goyal and ACP Umesh Barthwal. The ensuing gun battle was ferocious, ultimately incapacitating the attackers with multiple gunshot wounds.

With several criminal cases pending against them, the trio were part of the Himanshu Bhai gang, operated from Portugal. Just a week prior to the encounter, it was rumored the gang claimed that Delhi Police had captured three of their members, a tactic possibly intended to pressure the authorities.
After the encounter, Delhi Police confirmed that these feared shooters were never apprehended prior to the event. The gangsters had a significant history of violence, challenging law enforcement and terrifying locals.
The slain gangsters had previously been involved in a murderous assault on a Murthal business owner earlier that year. Multiple rewards had been placed on their heads by Haryana Police, reflecting their notoriety. Leadership for the encounter was jointly held by DCP Amit Goyal of Delhi Police and DSP Indeer of the Haryana STF.
