With Iran's support, Hezbollah is persistently attacking Israel. Hezbollah has turned a Soviet-era surveillance drone into a cruise missile, now using it to target Israel.

Israeli forces recently shared detailed information about this missile, revealing that it is a Tu-143 drone from the Soviet era, which was originally used for surveillance and reconnaissance.

272 kg Warhead and 200 km Range

Hezbollah has transformed this into a cruise missile, now called the DR-3 Cruise Missile in Lebanon. This cruise missile can be launched without a runway, using a rail launcher attached to a trailer or truck. Each missile carries a 272 kg warhead and has a range of about 200 km.

Capable of Targeting Tel Aviv with Ease

If launched from near the border, this missile can easily hit Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. Although there are always questions about the precision of such missiles, it can cause significant damage if it falls in a residential area without even aiming accurately.

This missile is approximately 26.5 feet long, with a wingspan of 7.4 feet and a height of 5.1 feet. It can attack at a maximum speed of 950 kilometers per hour and reach an altitude of up to 16,400 feet, which is about five kilometers.
