One thing about Israel is that it never lets its enemies get away. It goes all out to annihilate them. Israel continues with this policy regarding Hezbollah too. On August 25, when Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was bragging about Israel, little did he know his days were numbered. Israel's military terminated him right at his Beirut headquarters.
Israel left no stone unturned to confirm Nasrallah's death. They dropped a staggering 80 tons of bombs on the building where Nasrallah was hiding. This utterly demolished the building, killing him. An audio message from the Israeli team responsible for the bombings revealed that Israeli fighter pilots declared, they would find and eliminate their enemies anywhere.
With Nasrallah's death, Iran is enraged. They have called an OIC meeting and threatened Israel with retaliation. Iran declared a five-day mourning period for Nasrallah's death. Now, the question is whether Iran will directly confront Israel or use Triple 'H' - Hamas, Houthi, and Hezbollah - for an all-out attack on Israel.
Will Iran Refrain from Direct War?
According to defense expert Retired Major AK Sivach, Iran is incensed post Nasrallah's demise, indicating a probability of escalating conflict. However, doubts persist about Iran's direct involvement. A direct engagement would prompt U.S. intervention in support of Israel. Iran is likely to continue backing Hamas, Houthi, and Hezbollah with weapons and other support silently. Despite this, Israel has decimated nearly 70% of Hamas fighters over the past year.
