Our family will vote today

Promises by Yogi government remain unfulfilled

The victim's brother accused the Yogi government of failing to honor the promises made to them in this case. He said that neither a job nor a promised home has been provided yet. The ongoing legal process prevents securing jobs since companies refuse to hire us.

Government job not provided

The family further alleged that during a court hearing in December 2021, it was communicated they would neither receive a government job nor a house unless they surrendered land allocated under the Indira Awas Yojana to the government. We do not desire conditional compensation. These conditions were not disclosed when the government announced the compensation.

The background of the case

For context, on 14th September 2020, an incident of rape and attempted murder of a Dalit girl emerged in a village within Chandpa police station, Hathras.
