Amid the assembly elections, an intense social media face-off is unfolding between Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Delhi's CM Atishi. The discussion centers around water, and tensions rose following a controversial statement by former CM Arvind Kejriwal suggesting the water was 'toxic.' CM Atishi posted an invite on social media challenging CM Saini to visit Palla Ghat. However, CM Saini took a solo trip to Palla Village, performing a water splash and drinking from the Yamuna, captured in a video.

Responding to CM Atishi's post, CM Nayab Singh Saini wrote, "You, the self-claimed Chief Minister Atishi Marlena, are welcome at the Yamuna banks in Palla Village. There's no poison in the water entering Delhi from Haryana, but there's certainly poison in your minds." CM Saini added, "You continually blame the people of Haryana for water shortages, stubble burning smoke, and your own failures."
