The third T20 match between India and South Africa was played in Dharamshala, where star all-rounder Hardik Pandya accomplished yet another historic feat in T20 International cricket. Hardik has now become the first fast bowler in men's T20I to score more than 1000 runs and take over 100 wickets. This record secures him a special place not only in Indian cricket but also in world cricket.

Until now, only spin all-rounders had achieved this feat. Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan, Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi, and Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza had already completed the double of 1000+ runs and 100+ wickets in T20I cricket. Hardik Pandya becomes the fourth player overall to achieve this milestone, but he stands alone among fast bowlers in this list.

Third Indian to Take 100 T20I Wickets

Alongside this, Hardik Pandya has become the third male bowler from India to take 100 T20I wickets. Before him, only Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah had reached this milestone. Arshdeep Singh has taken 112 wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah has achieved 101 wickets.

This achievement by Hardik Pandya showcases his all-round capabilities. He possesses the ability to score brisk runs in the lower order and can take crucial wickets for the team when needed.

Completing 100 Sixes

In the first match of this series, Hardik Pandya also completed 100 sixes in T20 cricket. He joined the club with Rohit and Kohli. The record for the most sixes by an Indian in T20Is is held by Rohit Sharma, who has hit 205 sixes. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav follows with 155 sixes and Virat Kohli has 124 sixes to his name. Hardik is next on this list with over 100 sixes. KL Rahul is one six short, standing at 99 sixes.
