Hackers Lose Stolen $90 Million Amid Israel-Iran Tensions

Tensions between Israel and Iran are ongoing. Recently, a pro-Israel hacking group claimed to have siphoned off $90 million from an Iranian exchange, a sum equivalent to around 7 billion Indian Rupees. Shortly after allegedly acquiring this enormous amount, it reportedly vanished.

Several crypto-tracking firms suspect that the stolen fortune by the pro-Israel hacking group 'Gonjeshke Darande' has been lost. The group had previously announced their audacious act of hacking and transferring $90 million.

Funds Now Inaccessible - Report

According to a report by The Guardian, these funds are now inaccessible. They were stored in Vanity Addresses, for which the hackers don't possess the cryptographic keys.

Hackers Made Bold Claims

The group declared on June 18 that they had hacked into the Nobitex exchange. A day earlier, they claimed to have successfully removed data from Iran's Bank Sepah.

Digital Currencies Taken from Wallets

The hackers reportedly extracted digital currencies like Dogecoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin from the digital wallets of the Iranian exchange Nobitex.

Crypto Stolen from Wallet

According to crypto-tracking firm Elliptic, over $90 million worth of cryptocurrency was stolen from Nobitex crypto wallets by hackers who then moved it to their accounts. The Israeli media frequently mentions that the group 'Gonjeshke Darande' may have connections to Israel. However, no official information confirms the hackers' identities or national ties.
