The police have set a deadline for the accused to present his driving license in the Gurugram SUV accident case. Sources reveal that if the accused fails to present his driving license today, several stringent charges could be added to the case.
The incident occurred on September 15 in Gurugram, near Delhi, where a collision between a Mahindra 3XO SUV and a high-speed bike resulted in the tragic death of a youth named Akshat Garg. Akshat Garg was riding his bike at high speed when the Mahindra 3XO, coming from the wrong side, collided with him. Akshat was thrown off his bike and landed far behind the vehicle, resulting in his death.
The Accused Trying to Avoid Arrest
Since the accident, the accused has been employing various tactics to evade arrest. According to information, Kuldeep contacted acquaintances to get a backdated driving license and also consulted a lawyer.
Aaj Tak spoke with an acquaintance of the accused, revealing that Kuldeep Thakur reached out on September 17 to find out if a driving license could be backdated. He also discussed backdating the license with others.
'Accused Will Be Arrested Again if Necessary'
The police had initially registered a case against Kuldeep Thakur under Sections 106, 281, 324 (4), and 166. He was arrested at the scene of the incident but later released on bail.
The police stated that if required, the accused will be arrested again, and additional relevant charges will be added to the case.
