A disturbing case has emerged from Sabarkantha, Gujarat, where a teacher has shockingly committed an assault on a promising 10th-grade student. The student received widespread acclaim last month during a speech competition on 'Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter'.
The assaulted student, who studies in the 10th grade at her village, had captivated the entire auditorium with her compelling speech on January 26. Despite this harrowing experience, the student's determination remains unshaken. She aspires to become a police officer, with the accused teacher now under arrest.
The Student's Parents Work as Laborers
The 15-year-old victim expresses her ambition to become a police officer. She excels in science and mathematics. Her future academic path will be chosen based on her board exam results. Notably, her parents work as agricultural laborers.
Threatened with Exam Failure
According to police reports, the 33-year-old accused teacher allegedly lured the student to a hotel under the pretense of celebrating a birthday, where he assaulted and physically harmed her. He also stands accused of threatening her with failure in board exams.
Living with Her Aunt's Family
Following the incident, the girl has been staying with her aunt, her father's sister, who has two daughters also preparing for exams. The victim’s uncle expressed, 'We do not want anyone disturbing her focus on studies'.
