Greatest Victory Against Naxalism: 31 Naxalites Eliminated in Kurraguttalu Operation, Total 197 This Year

The CRPF DG announced that this year, a total of 197 Naxalites have been neutralized by security forces. Recently, a major operation on Kurraguttalu Hills resulted in the elimination of 31 Naxalites. During a joint press conference held on Wednesday by the CRPF DG and the Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh, significant steps against Naxalism were disclosed. CRPF DG Gyanendra Pratap Singh declared their resolution to liberate India from Naxalism by 2026. Under the astute guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, a plan to eradicate Naxalism by March next year has been set in motion.

He revealed that the Naxal-affected areas have reduced from 126 to just 18. Incidents against the general populace have diminished, with only 19 events reported in 2025. Remarkably, 718 Naxalites have surrendered this year alone. A significant and challenging operation in Chhattisgarh targeted highly fortified Naxal region accommodations where more than 150 Naxalites resided. Efforts to curb financial resources by central and state police agencies are also underway.

Resolution for a Naxal-Free India

The CRPF DG reported that this year, security forces have eliminated a total of 197 Naxalites. Recently, at the Kurraguttalu Hills, a decisive action led to the downfall of 31 Naxalites. Gyanendra Pratap Singh shared that during Operation Black Forest, they've gathered remarkably insightful intelligence targeting future objectives.

The Largest Operation Against Naxalites

This year, a total of 197 Naxalites were neutralized in ongoing operations, marking the most extensive action ever taken against them. This operation led to the seizure of approximately 12,000 kilograms of provisions from Naxalite positions. Over 21 days, a special operation uncovered four factories dedicated to weapon production, with equipment confiscated. Twenty-eight Naxalites were found to be involved in this effort.

Unyielding Forces in Scorching 45-Degree Celsius Heat

Even amidst intense 45-degree Celsius heat, our brave troops continued their mission unperturbed. During this Naxal operation, 17 FIRs were lodged and shared with the NIA. Over 450 IEDs were seized.

Utilization of Innocent Children

DGP Arun Dev Gautam of Chhattisgarh reported that Naxalites exploited innocent children, enlisting them through the Chetna Natak Mandali to aid in their strategic operations and intelligence gathering. However, such instances have significantly decreased as investigations continue.

31 Naxalites Neutralized by Security Forces

Home Minister Amit Shah shared on social media, 'In a historic stride towards a Naxal-free India, our forces have achieved a monumental success in the largest operation against Naxalism by vanquishing 31 notorious Naxalites at the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border's Kurraguttalu Hills (KGH). A bastion of terror now proudly hoists the national flag. Kurraguttalu Hills was the Unified Headquarter for major Naxal groups like PLGA Battalion 1, DKSZC, TSC & CRC, blending training, strategic planning, and arms manufacturing.'

'On Track for a Naxal-Free India by March 31, 2026'

Amit Shah remarked, 'Our forces triumphantly completed this largest anti-Naxalite campaign within just 21 days, and I am delighted to note there was no loss of personnel. I salute the valor and leadership of our CRPF, STF, and DRG soldiers for their courage despite adverse conditions. Under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, we are steadfast in eradicating Naxalism, ensuring a Naxal-free India by March 31, 2026.'
