In a major breakthrough, the police have detained a suspect in the sensational Gopal Khemka murder case. The suspect, identified as Roshan Kumar from Punpun in Patna, was taken into custody after attending Khemka's funeral on Sunday. Authorities are currently questioning Roshan, and it is reported that around a dozen suspects have been interrogated so far.

According to the information gathered, in addition to the shooter, two other conspirators were involved in the assassination of Gopal Khemka. On the night of the murder, after Khemka left the Bankipur Club, one informer tipped off the shooter while another was stationed around the Gandhi Maidan area near Biskoman Tower. The shooter was strategically positioned near Khemka's residence, waiting for the right moment.

As Gopal Khemka exited his apartment, a shooter, positioned with a helmet, opened fire, leaving Khemka fatally wounded before fleeing on a motorcycle.

The police scoured CCTV footage across Gandhi Maidan, Bankipur Club, Buddha Colony, and Income Tax Golambar areas. They are tight-lipped but continue their raids to capture the shooter and other accomplices. Roshan's interrogation may unveil significant revelations in the murder case.

The tragic incident occurred last Friday night when businessman Gopal Khemka was brutally assassinated. CCTV footage captured a shooter, helmet-clad, waiting outside his apartment gates. The moment Khemka alighted from his car, shots were fired, resulting in his untimely death. The shooter fled the scene on a bike, executing the murder alarmingly close to the police station. Khemka's family alleges that the police arrived at the scene an hour late.

Despite these accusations, the DSP refutes these claims, asserting that investigations are progressing. A search operation was conducted in the jail on Saturday as part of the murder case investigation. Arrests of those involved are anticipated soon.
