Across Washington D.C. to London, thousands took to the streets to speak out against President Donald Trump’s policies. Labelled as 'No Kings', this protest unites voices against Trump's stance on migration, education, and security. Organizers report over 2600 such protests happening worldwide. Hundreds also gathered outside the U.S. Embassy in London, representing a stand against Trump's authoritarian tendencies.

One of the 2600 global protests occurred in London, aligned with similar gatherings in cities like Madrid and Barcelona. In the U.S., protests spanned across major cities and small towns alike, drawing extensive participation.

According to Reuters, demonstrators in Washington D.C.'s downtown donned various costumes and banners as they marched along Pennsylvania Avenue. This event was supported by over 300 local communities and organizations.

Within just ten months in office, President Trump has significantly tightened migration policies, threatened federal funding cuts to universities over Palestine-related protests, and sanctioned National Guard deployments across several states. Critics argue these measures enhance societal rifts and endanger democracy’s core principles.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has trained thousands of volunteers in legal and stress-diffusion tactics to act as marshals in these movements. Social media buzz surrounding the 'No Kings' protest galvanized significant public participation.

Prominent progressive leaders like Senator Bernie Sanders and Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are supporters of this protest. Hillary Clinton, Trump’s 2016 presidential race opponent, also stands with the movement. Numerous celebrities have joined in openly supporting this cause.
