In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a harrowing crime unfolded when a man abducted a 5-year-old girl. He took her on a bus, committed a heinous assault against her, and then strangled her to death. The young girl's lifeless body was discovered wrapped in a sack, discarded in a drain. The police, after a fierce confrontation, apprehended the assailant responsible for the abduction, assault, and murder.
The girl, residing in Maharajpur, disappeared on January 15. Despite extensive searches, no trace of her was found until her family reported her missing on January 16. The police launched an earnest search operation, and by Saturday morning around 9 AM, her body was tragically recovered.

Investigation revealed that the girl was last seen accompanying Noor Alam alias Raju towards the Kaushambi bus depot. With diligent efforts, police quickly cordoned off the area, targeting Noor Alam’s hideout behind a deserted field near the bus station. When confronted, the accused opened fire on the police, resulting in a return of fire where Noor Alam was shot in both legs, leading to his capture. He was then transported for medical treatment.
Enticing the child with money led to the crime
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that on the night of January 15, at around 10:30 PM, he was en route to a bus parked near Maharajpur, where he aided as a helper. The little girl approached him requesting five rupees. Seizing the opportunity, he lured her onto the bus with the promise of money, where the heinous crime occurred. Once she lost consciousness, he tragically ended her life and disposed of her body by enclosing it in a sack and dumping it near a factory's drain.
SP's remark on the case
ACP Rajneesh Upadhyay stated that the police successfully apprehended Noor Alam alias Raju after a confrontation when he attempted to flee. The accused initially fired at the police, provoking a responsive shootout where bullets struck both his legs, culminating in his arrest.
