An alarming incident has surfaced in Garhwa district, Jharkhand, revolving around a tragic love affair. A 15-year-old girl was mercilessly killed by her own family. The police reported that the family reportedly caught the girl with her boyfriend, which incited their anger, leading to the brutal act.
Family Outraged over Village Love Affair
According to a news agency, the police received confidential information on Thursday evening that a family was attempting to secretly cremate their daughter's body. Upon receiving this information, a police team rushed to the cremation site in the Garhwa Town Police Station area. Witnessing the police, many family members fled the scene. SDPO Neeraj Kumar stated, 'The girl's father and brother were arrested on the spot, while others managed to escape.'

SDPO Neeraj Kumar mentioned that preparations for the cremation were underway with wood already arranged, raising suspicion of foul play. The police believe there's an attempt to hide the true cause of death. Efforts are ongoing to locate the absconded family members.
The police have speculated that this appears to be a case of honor killing following their initial investigation. The body has been taken for post-mortem to the Sadar Hospital to determine the accurate cause of death and the nature of injuries sustained. Meanwhile, inquiries are being conducted with the apprehended family members.
