As the general elections intensify, political parties go the extra mile, each vote becoming a pivotal battleground. Candidates are opening the treasure chest of promises, showcasing their accomplishments to win the electorate over. Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, along with Karnataka's DK Shivakumar, has gone two steps further—tying development funds directly to electoral support.

Speaking in Pune, Ajit Pawar committed to fulfilling all financial needs for development, with the caveat that citizens reciprocate by voting for his party symbol in the elections. He expressed joy in the allocation of funds, premised on this mutual understanding.

In a stern tone, Pawar warned that anything contrary may hinder the fund allocation process. Meanwhile, his counterpart in Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, during an engagement in a residential complex in Bangalore, pitched it as a 'business deal', pressing the need for CA site and Kaveri water provision.

He assured them of his commitment, saying, 'I'm in your hands. Vote for me, assure me, and your work will be done within three months.' Notably, Maharashtra has 48 Lok Sabha seats and Karnataka 28.
