Former Delhi Minister Rajkumar Anand recently resigned from his ministerial post and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He informed Arvind Kejriwal, national coordinator of the party, of his resignation in a letter where he raised several questions about the Kejriwal government.
'The people of Delhi have been deceived'
In the letter, Anand wrote that although AAP was conceived as a movement against corruption, it has since found itself stuck in the quagmire of corruption. Our ministers are in jail, including our Chief Minister. Serious corruption charges have been leveled against our government. I don't believe we have any moral strength left to continue governing.

'I refuse to be associated with their corruption'
Anand stated that the party leaders are embroiled in corruption while the workers are sidelined in the scheme. He mentioned the disillusionment of workers who once had high hopes for AAP to eliminate corruption in Delhi. Feeling uncomfortable with his association with the government, Anand expressed his unwillingness to link his name with the prevailing corruption.
Rajkumar Anand's residence raided by Enforcement Directorate
Just before the ED summoned CM Kejriwal over the liquor scandal in November last year, they raided the residence of Minister Rajkumar Anand. The Directorate of Enforcement carried out investigations at Anand's Civil Lines official residence among other locations. It was revealed that the ED conducted the raid in connection with Anand’s business matters and there was suspicion of his involvement in hawala transactions. The raid was also seen in the context of a customs case.
