The escalating controversy surrounding the alleged assault on Rajya Sabha MP from the Aam Aadmi Party, Swati Maliwal, deepens. Maliwal had earlier filed an FIR against former PA of CM Arvind Kejriwal, Bibhav Kumar; now, Kumar has filed a complaint against Maliwal with the Delhi Police. Kumar accuses Maliwal of trespassing, behaving inappropriately with the CM's security personnel, and causing a threat by forcibly entering the CM's residence.
Bibhav Kumar transmitted his complaint to the DCP North District and SHO Civil Lines via email. He charged Maliwal with entering the CM's residence without permission and pushing around the CM's security upon her forceful entry. However, the Delhi Police have yet to take notice of Bibhav's complaint.
Prior to this, Maliwal had submitted a written complaint against Kumar. The Civil Lines police station registered an FIR against him under sections 32, 506, 509, and 354. Maliwal emphatically dismissed the allegations from the Aam Aadmi Party, targeting the party leadership. In a series of posts, she stated, "Newly inducted leaders in the party are maligning a 20-year loyal worker as a BJP agent. Just two days ago, the party admitted to all truths in a press conference, and today, a U-Turn. This thug is threatening the party, stating he would reveal all secrets if arrested. That's why he's seeking shelter everywhere, from Lucknow to other places. Today, under his pressure, the party succumbed and my character was questioned to save a goon. But no matter, I have been fighting for women across the country alone, and I will fight for myself too. Go ahead with the character assassination, in time, the truth will prevail!"
