Delhi Police's Crime Branch has cracked down on two factories producing counterfeit medicines. Seizing fake meds worth crores, along with the raw materials and machinery used in their creation, they’ve made significant arrests. One factory was run by Surendra Malik in Shamli, while Vivek Chauhan operated the second in Ghaziabad's Rajendra Nagar Industrial Area.
When the Crime Branch received intelligence on the counterfeit drug trade, they formed three specialized teams to dismantle this network. These teams promptly stopped a van, discovering a shipment of fake medicines. The van was driven by Jasveer Singh, with Upkaar accompanying him. The subsequent police recovery of fake meds led to immediate FIRs and rigorous interrogation of the suspects.

The list of counterfeit drugs seized includes pain relievers, blood sugar medicines, and treatments for asthma, arthritis, allergies, hypertension, and more, some ironically marked as life-saving drugs.
Delhi Police will now delve deeper, tracing how far the reach of this illicit drug network extended, auditing electronic gadgets, bank accounts, and found courier slips to determine the depth of this counterfeit crisis.
