The mysterious death of Aqeel Akhtar, the son of former Punjab DGP Mohammad Mustafa, has taken a complicated turn with two contradictory videos surfacing. Initially, an FIR for murder and criminal conspiracy was registered against four family members based on an earlier video. Now, a new viral video shows Aqeel giving a 'clean chit' to his family.
In the first video, Aqeel claimed his father and wife had 'illicit relations.' He accused the family, including his mother and sister, of plotting his murder or framing him in false cases, and mentioned a dying declaration.
However, in a new three-minute video, Aqeel stated that all previous allegations are baseless. He clarified that he made those accusations while he was unwell, and that his family is taking good care of him. He also praised his sister for her dedicated care.

Following the registration of FIR against former DGP Mohammad Mustafa, his wife and former minister Razia Sultana, their daughter, and daughter-in-law, Panchkula police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter.
DCP Srishti Gupta addressed the case of the former DGP Mohammad Mustafa’s son, explaining the incident happened on October 16. The family reported the death of Aqeel Akhtar, the son of former Punjab DGP Mohammad Mustafa and former minister Razia Sultana, without suspecting any foul play initially.
After the post-mortem, the deceased's body was handed over to the family. However, a few days later, a third party filed a complaint asserting that Aqeel Akhtar had posted some videos and other content on social media.
