A sensational case has emerged in the political and police circles of Punjab. Former DGP Mohammad Mustafa, his wife and former minister Razia Sultana, daughter, and daughter-in-law are now implicated in a murder and criminal conspiracy case regarding the death of their son, Aqueel Akhtar.

Aqueel Akhtar's death occurred late on the night of October 16 at his residence in Panchkula. Initially, the family attributed the cause to a medication overdose. However, after his death, a video dated August 27 emerged where Aqueel claimed that his family was conspiring to murder him. In the video, he also mentioned illicit relations between his father, Mohammad Mustafa, and his wife.

In the video, Aqueel accused his father and wife of having an illicit relationship. Additionally, he claimed that his mother (Razia Sultana) and sister Nishat Akhtar, along with the whole family, were conspiring to kill him or falsely implicate him in cases.

Aqueel also alleged mental harassment, being forcibly sent to a rehab center, exclusion from business affairs, and physical abuse. Furthermore, he mentioned that his diary contains a suicide note.

Neighbor Shamsuddin submitted a complaint to the Panchkula Police Commissioner, leveling serious charges against the former DGP, his wife Razia Sultana, and other family members for being involved in the murder conspiracy.

Panchkula police registered an FIR at the Mansa Devi police station based on the complaint and the video, under sections 103 (1) and 61 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

DCP Srishti Gupta stated, "Based on the complaint, we have registered an FIR under charges of murder and conspiracy. A case has been registered against the deceased's father, mother (former minister), sister, and wife. We have involved all of them in our investigation to ensure full transparency and impartiality."

The DCP mentioned that to scientifically investigate the matter, an SIT (Special Investigation Team) led by an immediate ACP rank officer has been formed. The analysis of the viscera samples is underway, and only after the report will the cause of death be determined.
