During his address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Tuesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan once again brought up the Kashmir issue. He urged for a resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan through dialogue in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Erdogan stated to world leaders, "We are pleased with the ceasefire achieved last April between Pakistan and India. The Kashmir issue should be resolved based on UN resolutions to benefit our brothers and sisters in Kashmir. We hope for dialogue."
India has repeatedly dismissed such statements, asserting that Jammu and Kashmir are its internal matters and that Turkey should respect India's sovereignty. Earlier this year, New Delhi also rejected similar statements made during Erdogan's visit to Islamabad.

Sharp Attack on Israel
However, Turkey's leader reserved his harshest criticism at the UN platform for Israel and its allies. He condemned Israel's ongoing attacks in Gaza, describing them as "genocide and destruction of life."
Erdogan stated, "As the genocide in Gaza continues while we gather here, innocent people are dying." He also appealed to countries yet to recognize the Palestinian state to "take action without delay."
Erdogan criticized Israeli attacks in Syria, Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, and even Qatar, where he mentioned a targeted operation against Hamas leadership that "failed to achieve its goals."
