On Monday, a woman named Aparna Thakur claimed that Bhojpuri star and BJP candidate Ravi Kishan is the father of her 25-year-old daughter Shinova. In response to these claims, actor Ravi Kishan's wife, Preeti Shukla, filed an FIR against Aparna and her daughter.
Shinova's significant demand
Preeti Shukla alleged in her FIR that the woman and her daughter were threatening, slandering, and attempting to extort money. Shinova, also an actress known for her role in 'Hiccups and Hookups,' spoke with India Today/Aaj Tak about the harassment her family is facing. She also demanded that Ravi Kishan undergo a paternity test to resolve the dispute.
Addressing Ravi Kishan, Shinova said, 'If this isn't true, why aren't you coming forward and declaring it a lie? I am merely asking for you to undergo a DNA test. You remain silent and give no response. An FIR has been filed against my entire family, including a lawyer and even a journalist, based on false allegations that we're attempting to extort money from you.'
She continued, 'He is my father, and I have the right to ask him to acknowledge me. I'm not bringing this up suddenly; a lot of things have transpired in the interim that I can't discuss right now.' Shinova explained that she decided to turn off her phone due to the overwhelming number of calls she was receiving. 'Not just me, my entire family is being harassed at this time. We are all facing numerous challenges together.'

In a press conference held in Lucknow on Monday, Aparna Soni aka Aparna Thakur claimed that actor and BJP candidate Ravi Kishan is the father of her daughter Shinova. Following this, Shinova shared a video on Instagram, tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, urging them to meet her. She said she could present evidence to support her claims so the Prime Minister could decide her fate.
Following these developments, on Wednesday, Ravi Kishan's wife Preeti Shukla filed an FIR at the Hazratganj police station in Lucknow against Aparna Thakur, her daughter Shinova, husband Rajesh Soni, son Saunak Soni, SP leader Vivek Kumar Pandey, and journalist Khurshid Khan who runs a YouTube channel, under various sections of the IPC.
The FIR lodged by Preeti Shukla accused Aparna Thakur of extorting threats from the underworld, warning that if their demands were not met, they would falsely implicate her husband in a rape case. It was further alleged that Aparna Thakur demanded a ransom of ₹20 crores from Preeti Shukla, a complaint that was also registered in Mumbai. Despite this, Aparna Thakur held a press conference in Lucknow on the 15th of April, making baseless allegations.
So far, actor Ravi Kishan has not made any public statement regarding this matter.
