On International Women's Day 2024, Samastipur Railway Station was in the capable hands of women staff. They took on roles from ticketing to train operation. The female RPF team was tasked with passenger safety.
At Samastipur Station, from train operations to ticket checking and ensuring the safety of trains, women staff dutifully executed all functions. During this time, women including loco pilots Kanchan Kumari and assistant loco pilot Reena Kumari, managed the Danapur-Jayanagar Intercity Express train.

Divisional Railway Manager Vinay Srivastava stated at a Samastipur Station event that women are performing all tasks with hard work and dedication, including the most complex ones. The DRM added, boasting, that there are 14 female loco pilots in the rail division, which is a matter of pride.

An Event Honoring Women's Contributions
On International Women's Day, the railway administration assigned the operation and security responsibilities of the 13226 Intercity Express running from Danapur to Jayanagar exclusively to women, including loco pilots and assistants. Even the RPF station was managed by female police officers. At Darbhanga station, female TTEs were put in charge of ticket checking. An event is also organized to honor the contributions of these women.
