Tesla CEO and social media platform X's owner Elon Musk disclosed that there have been two assassination attempts made on him in the past eight months. Musk made this claim at a time when former U.S. President Donald Trump narrowly survived a lethal attack, with a bullet grazing by his ear.
Following the attempt on Trump, an X user expressed worries for Musk's personal safety, prompting him to share these concerning events, including an arrest near Tesla's Texas headquarters of individuals armed with guns.
'Please Enhance Your Security'
The user pleaded, 'Please, please triple your security. If they could target Trump, they could target you as well.' Responding, Musk warned, 'Dangerous times lie ahead. Already, in the past eight months, two separate individuals have tried to end my life. They were arrested, armed, approximately 20 minutes from Tesla's Texas headquarters.'
Musk has previously claimed he could be targeted at any given moment. In 2022, he accused tech reporters of sharing his real-time location and consequently banned them from his X accounts.
Deadly Assault on Trump
Former U.S. President Donald Trump was the target of a deadly attack on Saturday, which he escaped narrowly. While addressing a rally in Pennsylvania, shots rang out, with one bullet skimming the upper part of Trump's right ear. Blood spilled from his ear as security guards quickly surrounded and escorted him from the scene to safety, while the assailant was neutralized by the Secret Service on site.
