The fascination with donkey milk soap is soaring in Dubai! What exactly makes this soap special, leading to its high demand not only in the UAE but also in Gulf countries, Jordan, and Egypt?

According to a report from Gulf News, the company known as Atan Donkey Milk Soap produces 100% natural soap just 35 kilometers southwest of Amman, in Madaba. The farm consists of 12 donkeys. They also have a small production workshop in Jordan’s capital, Amman. People in Jordan show considerable interest in this unique soap.

Dubai has embraced donkey milk soap too, with various brands selling bars made from donkey milk. Initially, it was launched in Jordan amidst skepticism, but as the benefits became evident, its demand significantly increased.

Reports suggest that donkey milk is rich in minerals and proteins, providing moisture to the skin. It also contains antioxidants, which protect the skin from sun damage and aging effects.

As per Gulf News, environmental activist and retired teacher Al Jubi noted a study which reveals that donkey milk rejuvenates skin cells, reduces aging effects, and aids in treating skin conditions such as eczema.

He added that soap made from donkey milk helps balance skin moisture levels and diminishes the appearance of wrinkles, blemishes, and acne.

Made by blending donkey milk with olive oil, almond oil, and coconut oil, this soap doesn't come cheap. On various online shopping platforms, including Amazon, a bar of this unique soap can range from 25 to 99 dinars, equivalent to 600 to 2500 rupees.

According to nutritionists, donkey milk is abundant in vitamins A, B1, B2, C, and E, and it boasts high levels of magnesium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, and sodium.

The tradition of using donkey milk in beauty products has a historical charm of its own. It's said that Egypt's queen Cleopatra famously preserved her beauty by bathing in donkey milk.
