In Maharashtra's Thane district, four people have been arrested for possessing cannabis valued at 1.418 million rupees. This information was shared by a police officer to a news agency. The arrested individuals are identified as Akhtar Rafiq Sheikh (32), Jabbar Khajamiya Sheikh (30), Shariq Jameer Ansari (21), and Azgar Ali Arshad Hussain Ansari (21), all residents of Bhiwandi.
The police reported that four people were arrested in Thane for allegedly possessing cannabis worth 1.418 million rupees. The action was based on a tip-off and executed by a team from the Kashimira police station, who apprehended the suspects on May 24.

The police team seized cannabis weighing 70.919 kilograms and a tempo vehicle from the accused. Among them, Akhtar Rafiq Sheikh is a habitual offender with seven previous cases, including theft and organized crime, against him.

The officer noted that a case was filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against the accused. Currently, interrogation is ongoing, and it could lead to further significant revelations.
