A toll worker at the Chhijarsi Plaza in Hapur, UP, narrowly escaped death. After breaking the barrier, a young car driver hit the toll worker and then attempted to run over him. The toll worker sustained serious injuries. Meanwhile, the culprit fled the scene. The entire incident was logged by the toll plaza's CCTV cameras.

Actually, at Hapur's Chhijarsi toll plaza, a car driver, breaking through the barrier, struck a tollbooth worker and attempted to crush him. The incident's video reveals a white car breaching the boundary, then swiftly taking a U-turn and hitting the toll plaza's guard.

The guard was dragged on the road

Hit by the car, the guard fell to the pavement. Thereafter, the driver attempted to run the guard over. With one hand on the hood of the car, the guard was dragged along the ground. Upon witnessing the episode, people at the plaza rushed to the guard's aid.

The suspect fled the scene

The guard was critically injured in the incident and has been admitted to a hospital. Meanwhile, the driver, the suspect, managed to escape. The case was reported to the police at Pilkhua Kotwali.

According to CO Varun Mishra of Pilkhua Kotwali, the ordeal occurred on Sunday morning at the Chhijarsi toll plaza. An attempt to murder the guard was made. A case has been registered, and the driver's identification is currently underway. The arrest is expected promptly.
