What does Trump's presidency mean for the Indian-American community? In response, an Indian-born resident who has been in America for a long time shared, 'We believe the Hindu community has awakened and voted for Trump. India's doctors, engineers, and IT professionals have made substantial contributions to the U.S. economy. We desire strong relations between India and America.'
Donald Trump tweeted concerning the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, condemning the violence. An Indian-American citizen in the U.S. stated that Trump clearly criticized attacks on Hindus and expressed 'I love Hindu'. Many Hindu organizations in America have supported Trump.
Another Indian-American shared that Trump, being a businessman, understands business well and thus values America's relationship with India. Economic growth in America will benefit India's economy too. This provides a good opportunity for India's young IT professionals.
An Indian resident who has lived in America for 30 years mentioned that Trump's presidency sends a positive message to India. 'I am Sikh and want to highlight that the Khalistanis, like Pannu, who have tainted our community do not represent all Sikhs.'
It is important to note that Donald Trump will take the oath as President of the United States for the second time today. The inaugural ceremony will be held inside the Capitol Hill building due to extreme cold weather conditions.
Renowned personalities from around the world are expected to attend Donald Trump's inaugural ceremony. Indian representatives include External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Reliance Group Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani. Additionally, China's Vice President Han Zheng will participate.
Moreover, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Argentine President Javier Milei, Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, and Nigel Farage, leader of Britain's Reform Party, among others, will attend.
