After the consecration of the infant idol of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, devotees from across the nation are flocking for a glimpse of their deity. Following a 500-year wait, Ram Lalla was finally enshrined in his magnificent palace on January 22, 2024, drawing millions of visitors daily. On the auspicious day of Ram Navami, these pilgrims will witness another marvelous event where Lord Ram, a descendant of the Sun Dynasty, will receive a tilak from Sun God himself.
At Ram Temple, a successful trial of the 'Surya Abhishek' ritual was conducted. Utilizing mirrors, sunbeams created a tilak on the deity’s forehead. Scientists oversaw this successful trial precisely at noon. A video of this emotionally stirring ritual has emerged that will fill you with reverence.

The radiance of Lord Ram's forehead will be enhanced by Sun God on Ram Navami. The festive occasion will showcase a nearly four-minute long ceremony where sunbeams are redirected onto Lord Ram's idol through an intricate arrangement of mirrors and brass pipes, preferred for their lower corrosion rates, followed by lenses focusing the rays directly upon the deity's forehead.
Furthermore, the event will be broadcast live. After the sanctification of Ram Lalla in the sanctum sanctorum, this first Navratri is being celebrated with special preparations by the Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust. Over 100 LED screens will be set up in Ayodhya so that numerous spectators can witness the event.
It is anticipated that more than 40 million devotees, including a significant number of international tourists, will visit Ram Navami. In light of the expected rush, it is advised that worshippers stagger their visits. The decision to keep the Ram Temple open 24 hours for three consecutive days—16th, 17th, and 18th of April—has already been made.
