The course is set for the expansion of the Nitish-led government cabinet in Bihar. This evening at 4 PM, the state's governor will administer the oath of office and confidentiality to new ministers in Nitish's cabinet. Just before this expansion, Dilip Jaiswal has resigned from his ministerial role. Dilip Jaiswal also serves as the president of Bihar's unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Confirming his resignation, Dilip Jaiswal stated, “I am resigning.” He cited the BJP's principle of 'One Person, One Position' as the reason behind his resignation and dodged questions about the cabinet expansion. The Bihar BJP president said that the decision on when the expansion occurs is the prerogative of the Chief Minister.

In his resignation sent to the Chief Minister, Dilip Jaiswal voluntarily stepped down from his ministerial role. He was in charge of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department. Nitish Kumar's cabinet expansion is expected to take place at 4 PM today, where seven ministers from the BJP quota will take the oath of office and secrecy.

Cabinet Secretary Arrives at Raj Bhavan

The Cabinet Secretary of Bihar, S. Siddharth, has arrived at the Raj Bhavan. He brought with him the list of nominees to be sworn in as ministers. Reports suggest that there are seven names in total. Cabinet Secretary S. Siddharth will present the list of potential ministers to the Governor.

Sources indicate that during this first cabinet expansion in an election year, no ministers from the JDU quota will be appointed. Deputy CM of Bihar, Samrat Choudhary, met with CM Nitish Kumar at the Chief Minister's residence regarding the cabinet expansion. A meeting of BJP leaders is ongoing at Samrat Choudhary's residence concerning this matter.

Names in the Potential Ministers List

The names of the new ministers set to join the Nitish Kumar cabinet expansion have been revealed. This expansion will see Krishan Kumar Mantu, Vijay Mandal, Raju Singh, Sanjay Sarawagi, Jivesh Mishra, and Moti Lal take the ministerial oath.
