Since the encounter of Sultanpur robbery case accused Mangesh Yadav, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav has been targeting UP STF. On Thursday (19th September), he once again took aim at the STF. Akhilesh sarcastically suggested sending STF to tackle the wolf issues in Bahraich.

During a press conference held in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav said, 'To handle the wolves attacking villagers and children in Bahraich, the government should either set up a dedicated STF or transfer the case to the current STF. Those who believe in shoot-at-sight orders should at least be given this new task.

Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP government of large-scale deforestation after coming to power, leading to increased animal issues. He called on the state government to provide compensation to the families of children who died in wolf attacks.

While clarifying his 'Monk and Mafia' remark, Akhilesh stated that neither he nor the SP has ever spoken ill of any sage, hermit, or ascetic. How CM Yogi interprets the term is up to him. We simply say that he is not our state's Chief Minister but a monk Chief Minister. Compare my picture with his, and it will be clear who is the monk.

Before this, Akhilesh Yadav met with the affected people from districts distressed by wolf attacks, understood their problems, and provided financial assistance of 25,000 rupees to the injured and 50,000 rupees to the families of the deceased. He questioned where the billions allocated for wildlife management have gone. If they can't capture the wolves, they should ask the STF to do it.
