In Delhi's Rajendra Nagar, students preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams had been protesting for the past two days. Last night, the police dispersed the students. Around 50 students, who were protesting with banners and posters for two days, were removed from the area.
For the last two days, many students have been protesting in Rajendra Nagar for their various demands. The students are demanding relaxation for exams in light of COVID-19. They argue that about 18 states have provided such relaxation, so why can't the central government do the same.
However, the police have dispersed these protesting students. The police say that the students did not seek permission from the administration for their protest. Videos of the police removing the students have also surfaced. In these videos, you can see that as soon as the police reach to remove the protesters, the students start chanting slogans.
The police first asked the students to leave. Later, they removed the students' sitting carpet. The students then began chanting slogans like 'Inquilab Zindabad,' and subsequently, a large crowd gathered. Seeing the commotion, a significant number of police officers arrived and forcibly dispersed the students.
