Emails Sent to Hospitals and Airport from the Same ID
It is reported that the same email was used to threaten IGI Airport. Delhi Police dismissed all related emails as hoaxes. The effort to determine whether these were mere pranks or deliberate attempts to instill terror is ongoing.
In response to the threats, DCP Airport stated that a menacing email was received by the IGI Airport Security Operations Control Center regarding explosives within the premises. Advanced security protocols are now in effect, and security at the airport has been heightened. Law enforcement has initiated legal proceedings, and for the time being, no suspicious items have been discovered. The public is asked to remain calm and not to entertain any rumors.
Schools also Received Threats
Prior to these events, around 150 schools across Delhi-NCR were alarmed by a bomb threat email on the 1st of May. The perpetrators exploited a Russian email service known for aiding users in maintaining anonymity and concealing illegitimate activities.
Following the reception of the email, police conducted search operations in all affected schools. Equipped with police dogs and bomb squads, they moved swiftly - only to later confirm the threat as a hoax. The police urged parents not to panic.
