Delhi Tragedy: Mother Killed for Opposing Daughter's Affair

The accused, linked with the victim's daughter, silenced the mother's disapproval with a fatal shot, says police.

In a heart-wrenching incident in Delhi's Jahangirpuri neighborhood, a woman was shot dead. According to police, the assailant was involved with the victim's daughter, crossing religious boundaries. The woman's resistance led to her own demise as the attacker entered her home and shot her. Beaten but alive, her loved ones rushed her to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital, where doctors pronounced her deceased.

It has been revealed that prior to the crime, the accused had flaunted a weapon in a WhatsApp status video. The clip displayed him cocking a pistol ominously. In another status update, he showcased ammunition coupled with the lethal firearm.

The family filed a complaint for harassment against the daughter

The victim's family reported to the police that the suspect, along with an accomplice, came to their residence and committed the grievous act. Authorities were informed that the accused had previously harassed the daughter.

The mother's resistance to the accused's advances towards her daughter incited his fury, culminating in the tragic event. After shooting the woman, the suspect and his accomplice fled the scene. Upon receiving the report, police arrived and initiated an investigation.

A special team has been constituted by the police to capture the perpetrator. Officers are confident that they will promptly apprehend both the assailant and his collaborator.
