Despite repeated warnings by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), incidents of dance, fights, and chaos in Delhi Metro are not coming to an end. Recently, videos have surfaced showing people engaging in inappropriate behavior and silly acts to make video reels. Disputes often break out over seating arrangements, and the latest incident is no different.
Video footage shows two young men seated in the metro engaged in an argument. One of them sits with his feet up, calmly engaging in the confrontation. The man wearing a cap insists, 'I said nothing, your ears are ringing.' To which the other replies, 'It’s not my ears that are ringing, it’s your mouth that is making noise.' 'First, sit properly,' suggests the man in the cap. 'Why should I listen to you? Do you think you are some kind of authority?' counters the other.
The exchange escalates with one person calling the other a 'donkey’s offspring,' only to be labeled the same in retaliation. A CISF employee eventually arrives at the scene, and the video ends there. Despite the argument, the banter between the two is quite amusing. The video has been shared on Twitter by @gharkekalesh.
Netizens are flooding the video with comments. One user writes, 'This person is fighting so comfortably sitting down.' Another comments, 'It's nice to see a cute, non-abusive verbal clash on the metro.' 'Fights and arguments seem to have become a norm in the Delhi Metro. Everyone seems to be arguing incessantly,' another user notes.
It should be noted that skirmishes in the metro are not a new phenomenon, with many akin cases reported previously. Last month, a viral video showed two women engaging in a heated verbal exchange, likely over a seat, that escalated to physical violence. The tiff grew to the point where one pushed the other, which prompted a retaliatory slap and attempt to trip and fall. The odd aspect was that none of the onlookers attempted to intervene; instead, they chose to record the event.
