As the water level in the Yamuna continues to rise relentlessly, the police have halted vehicle movement on the old Wazirabad Bridge located on Wazirabad Road. The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory urging travelers to avoid affected routes, not to park vehicles roadside, and to plan journeys in advance.
The advisory urges the use of Signature Bridge for traffic moving towards Mukarba Chowk, ISBT, and Timarpur Road.

Flooded Cremation Grounds, Last Rites on the Sidewalk
Yamuna has inundated ghats used for cremations. The Nigambodh Ghat and Geeta Colony cremation grounds are devastated. Nigambodh Ghat is shut for last rites, and arriving families are redirected to the Panchkuian cremation ground. Meanwhile, at Geeta Colony, last rites are being performed on the sidewalk.

Flyover Collapse Near NH 44, Alipur
Alarming images have emerged from Delhi's Alipur area. A segment of the flyover on NH 44 has caved in. Post-rainfall, a substantial hole developed on the flyover, trapping an auto-rickshaw. The auto driver sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
In capital Delhi, the Yamuna's fierce expression is evident. The Yamuna Bazaar's coastal area, Monastery Market, Kashmere Gate, among others, are flooded. The old railway bridge is shut for traffic.

Monastery and Yamuna Bazaar are submerged. Water has entered homes in Monastery, and residents have been relocated to camps. The Yamuna Bazaar area is now like a river. An increase in water release from the Hathnikund Barrage would elevate the threat in Delhi.

There's relief as the Yamuna's water level begins to recede. At 8 AM, the level was 207.48 meters, dropping by about 2 centimeters by noon. Yet, the Yamuna in Delhi flows significantly above the danger mark of 205.33 meters.
