At last, the BJP has unveiled its manifesto for the Delhi Assembly elections. Empowering women is a significant focus in the BJP's agenda. However, the verdict on which manifesto—of BJP, Congress, or Aam Aadmi Party—truly stands taller will be delivered by the voters on February 8.
Empowering Women: What's in Store?
The BJP promises to provide 2500 INR every month to women, along with 21,000 INR and six nutritious meal kits to pregnant women. Additionally, there's a commitment to offer a subsidy of 500 INR on gas cylinders and a free cylinder during Holi and Diwali holidays for economically weaker sisters.
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party promises 2100 INR monthly under the Women Honor Scheme and a 500 INR gas subsidy. Congress has vowed to provide 2500 INR to every woman monthly, alongside a 500 INR gas subsidy and a ration kit.

For those over 70, including widows and differently-abled individuals, the pension rises from 2500 INR to 3000 INR. Furthermore, a monthly pension of 2500 INR and free pilgrimage services are also on offer by the party. In contrast, Congress has not made any announcements for seniors.

Perks for Students
To attract student voters, the Aam Aadmi Party pledges free bus services and a 50% reduction in metro fares in its manifesto. Congress aims to captivate young voters by promising 8500 INR to educated but unemployed youth. However, the BJP has not made any specific student-centric announcements yet.
Free Power & Water
BJP has confirmed that the ongoing free electricity and water services in Delhi will continue uninterrupted if they come to power. Meaning, the existing provision of 200 units of free electricity will persist. Along with this, the free bus service for women will continue. The Aam Aadmi Party also promises to sustain its free electricity scheme. Moreover, inaccurate long-standing water bills will be annulled, whereas Delhi Congress has proposed 300 units of free electricity.
