In the serene locality of Panchsheel Park in South Delhi, a gruesome murder unfolded early Monday. An elderly man was found savagely stabbed to death in his bedroom. Promptly alerted, the police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and initiated an investigation after sending it for post-mortem. The deceased has been identified as 64-year-old Rohit Kumar, living at home with his younger son.
The police received a call around 9:25 AM, after the deceased’s car cleaner knocked on the gate and there was no response. Subsequently, when the son opened the door, he discovered his father lying in a pool of blood on the bedroom floor.
Elderly Man Stabbed to Death
According to the police, the victim's body bore multiple stab wounds. The absence of any theft or robbery evidence at the scene suggested a premeditated murder. The room was undisturbed and everything seemed in order.
Forensic teams have collected blood samples and shoe prints from the crime scene. Police are scrutinizing the involvement of everyone present in the house. The deceased’s son claims he was in another room at the time and heard nothing.
