Leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), including Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, claim that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is being subjected to 'slow poisoning' in jail. In a press conference, it was asserted that Kejriwal's insulin levels have been rising without corresponding medical treatment. The AAP leader proclaimed a conspiracy for Kejriwal's assassination is underway.
Bhardwaj stated, 'Kejriwal repeatedly informs (the jail's) doctor that his sugar level is increasing. He requests insulin, but (the jail's) doctor alleges Kejriwal is lying. Appeals to the DG and DIG for insulin were also denied.'
Minister Atishi shared a grimm forecast: 'These are Kejriwal's sugar levels from April 12 to 17. If high sugar levels are not managed with insulin, it may lead to a gradual multi-organ failure. What kind of cruel government denies insulin to a diabetes patient?' she questioned.
Claims surfaced that Kejriwal has had to file petitions for insulin within the prison. Bhardwaj referenced Kejriwal's reports that his insulin level has been increasing for 15 days without administration of the crucial hormone. The prison administration is reportedly resisting Kejriwal's request for a video conference with his doctor. Bhardwaj questioned what harm would come to the ED, CBI, or the central government if Kejriwal had his video consultation.
Rising sugar levels could severely affect Kejriwal's nerves and kidneys, warned Bhardwaj. AAP leaders have also criticized LG Vinay Saxena, stating that Saxena can't restore Kejriwal's health should his kidneys fail due to the negligence.
'I am saying with full responsibility that a conspiracy to murder Arvind Kejriwal is being hatched. Kejriwal is being given a slow death. It had been suggested that Kejriwal's sugar levels rose due to eating mangoes. LG should note that consuming mangoes on the 6th cannot result in a sugar level spike to 320 on the 12th,' said Bhardwaj.
