CUET UG Result 2024:

This year's Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) results delay may postpone the start of the first-year semester at Delhi University (DU) until August 16. Initially set to begin on August 1, the deferred results have disrupted the academic calendar. DU's Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh stated that classes for other semesters would start as scheduled on August 1.

Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh informed the news agency, "The results have not been declared, affecting the academic calendar for the first semester of students seeking admission through CUET-UG. The semester will likely commence on August 16. For other semesters, we plan to start on August 1."

The Ripple Effect of CUET Result Delays on Admission Schedules

The outcomes of CUET-UG are critical for securing admissions in major universities like Delhi University (DU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), among 46 other prominent universities and central universities. Delays in declaring CUET-UG results will impact the admission schedules of all participating universities. For instance, DU had plans to open its phase two admission portal by July 2, relying on CUET-UG scores to fill 71,000 seats.

Millions of students and 261 universities including central universities like DU, Allahabad University, and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) are awaiting the CUET-UG 2024 results to commence their undergraduate admission process. The CUET-UG exams this year were held from May 15 to May 31 in both online and pen-and-paper modes. The last date to challenge the provisional answer key was July 9.

CUET UG Result 2024 Date: Initially Set to Release on June 30

According to the NTA's information bulletin, the CUET-UG results were initially supposed to be released on June 30. There was also a possibility for the CUET UG results to be issued in the first or second week of July, but controversies concerning inconsistencies in the provisional answer key led to a likely delay in the results. When inquired about the CUET-UG results, the DU VC stated, "We have not received any information from the National Testing Agency (NTA)." NTA is currently grappling with allegations related to NEET-UG and UGC-NET paper leaks, which could also be a reason for the results' delay.

UGC Chairman Assures, NTA Working Towards Timely CUET UG Results

The Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC), M. Jagadesh Kumar, has assured that NTA is working diligently to declare the results soonest. "After the final date for challenging the draft answer key, experts review the challenges and prepare the final answer key. Usually, it takes NTA one or two weeks to complete this process and declare the results. However, NTA is working hard to announce the results as early as possible," said the UGC Chairman to the news agency.
